What do people say

Northern Health & Social Care Trust

I am very familiar with Advance Coaching & Niamh Shiells work through Coaching Skills training, team development and team performance programmes that she has delivered for Northern Health & Social Care Trust staff. On a number of occasions, I have been involved in sourcing services from Niamh and have been very satisfied with all the results she has achieved.

I have found her to be very professional and flexible, competitively priced and always delivers what she promises. The participant’s feedback has been very positive and I think her work is enhanced by her considerable management and coaching experience.

ILM EndorsedILM Development

Management Development & Coaching Skills Training

Advance has ILM endorsement on two management development training programmes. These are both aimed at assisting managers and supervisors in adopting a coaching approach in their management of reports:

Performance Management : A Coaching Approach

This three day ILM Endorsed Programme is designed for senior & middle managers responsible for the management supervision of staff in achieving short and long term work related goals. It will be of particular interest to the following participants:

Rationale

Management supervision can be described as the process of overseeing the productivity and progress of employees who report directly to the manager. Formal management supervision is used widely across many professional organisations as an important tool in providing safe, cost effective and quality services. Most critical is its impact on managing the performance of individuals at all levels of an organisation.

Management supervision provides challenges even when delivered at its best and new skills and approaches are always a welcome addition to the managers “tool kit”. Coaching provides such an addition and its behavioural models and practical skills can be easily integrated within a management supervision programme. Coaching skills are very effective in rapport building, defining goals, action planning, motivating and confidence building all important concerns for the manager.

Coaching Skills for Supervisors:

This three day ILM Endorsed programme is designed for supervisors who are supporting staff in their day to day work and in achieving short and long term work related goals. It will be of particular interest to the following participants:

Rationale
Supervising or managing staff provides many challenges irrespective of the working environment or professional context. Traditional methods of telling staff what to do and expecting them to do it may not always get the results you need or want. New skills and approaches are always a welcome addition to the Supervisors “tool kit”. Coaching provides such an addition and its behavioural models and practical skills can be easily integrated within a supervisory relationship. Coaching is very effective in rapport building, defining goals, action planning, motivating and confidence building all important concerns for the supervisor.
